DETAILS
Miso is one of major ingredinets/seasonings used
in Japanese cuisine. You may have experienced tasting it in "miso soup".
Miso is prepared by steaming/boiling and crushing soybeans, then mixing it with salt and rice malts. After several months (in case of our cooking class, after one month) of fermentation,
miso is complete and ready to enjoy in varieties of dishes.
In this hands-on cooking class, you will learn how to make miso and dishes using miso. The class starts with explanation and tasting several types of miso. Then we prepare white miso
(白味噌) and cook several dishes using white miso prepared and fermented in advance. The class will take about 3.5 hours including cooking and tasting. You can bring the miso that you prepared in the class back with you in a tupperware ---
please check in advance if you can pass a quarantine at your airport. If you're interested, you can order necessary ingredients for miso making to cook at home; please consult for our
inventory in advance.
このクラスでは国産大豆、塩、生米こうじを使った無添加の白味噌を作ります。塩分控えめで自然の甘味いっぱいの白味噌は本当に美味しいです。水あめや保存料などを添加した市販のお味噌と全く違う美味しさを是非、ご自身の作ったお味噌で楽しんでください。作ったお味噌はご希望に応じておひとり当たり500g~1kgをお持ち帰りいただくことが可能です。仕込みから約1か月で食べられるようになります!!
クラスでは味噌作りの後、予め仕込んでおいた白味噌を使ったお料理を体験していただきます。
注:お味噌の保存用にタッパーなどある方はご自宅からお持ちください。必要な方にはこちらで野田琺瑯の保存容器を取り寄せることも可能です(サイズにより1500~2500円程度かかります)。
